Doggy day care

A fun day full of exercise, play and cuddles for your dog. Available from 7:30am–6pm. Drop off and pick up service can also be arranged.

Dog boarding

A home away from home for your 4-legged family member.

Small pack walks

Group walks are a great way for your dog to have fun, exercise and socialise with other pups. I walk dogs in small groups of a maximum of 4 dogs.

Who we are

About

Hi, I'm Ella Amaya. I'm a professional dog walker and have been for over 10 years. I have a 4 star council dog boarding licence, am DBS checked, fully insured and trained in canine first aid. I set up Paws at Home to provide the best care for the dogs here in Brighton and Hove. Every dog's experience is important to me and I understand all dogs are unique—I look forward to learning all about your dog's personality, behaviour and needs. I'm currently studying dog psychology and have volunteered at a dog training centre to gain further knowledge and experience.

I can't recommend Ella Amaya enough! She has been walking my Viszla for two years now and she is super reliable and really loves the dogs she walks. My pup always has the best time with her and she sends photos and videos of their walks together. My dog is very high energy and requires a long walk on her own and Ella always delivers. I'm so glad I found her!

Ella has been walking Butter for over a year, she is not only professional and friendly, but also has a natural connection to dogs. Butter absolutely loves her and is always completely worn out when she gets home. I've used Ella for both walks and doggy daycare and would highly recommend her for both. I'd give her 10 stars if I could.

Daphne, our large bouncy Bernedoodle, has been going to Amaya for over a year now and absolutely LOVES spending time with her. Regular photo updates and messages give us peace of mind. Amaya is brilliant and knows how to handle her, and importantly, how to say 'no' to her to make sure she behaves well. Couldn't recommend Amaya enough, she's brilliant!

We've started using Ella's service and honestly we could not be happier. Our 6 month old puppy Paddy absolutely loves going there and we love the regular photo updates. Paddy comes home knackered but happy and content. I highly rate Ella's service—she has a passion for dogs and treats Paddy like he's her own. Ella's rates are reasonable and fair, great value for an outstanding service.

Ella is fantastic. She has looked after my Springer Spaniel George numerous times for days and overnight stays. George always has a wonderful time. He can be tricky with his handling but Ella manages this brilliantly, making me feel reassured and happy to leave George with her. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Ella was very professional, very friendly, asked all the right questions, and had all the right qualifications and paperwork to make us feel comfortable leaving our rescue Staffy in her care. Ivy had an absolutely fantastic time staying with Ella. We will definitely use Paws At Home again and would highly recommend Ella to anyone looking for dog walking or dog boarding.

Ella has looked after our cocker spaniel on multiple occasions since 2023. He is always very happy to see her and when he returns. Ella sends regular photos and updates and she also offers a pick up and drop off service which we really appreciate as we don't have a car. Very grateful to be able to leave him in a safe and trustworthy pair of hands!

I can't thank Amaya enough. I was anxious leaving Brinnie as she had never been left with someone she didn't know. I needn't have worried—she did a fantastic job. Brinnie is not the best with other dogs and I was so happy to see her relaxed around another dog when I picked her up. She is an experienced dog handler.

Ella is Flynn's best friend. He buzzes around like a happy little bee when he hears her at the door in the morning, and comes home at the end of the day feeling calm and sleepy. He can be an anxious little guy so it's been so gratifying to see his confidence grow as Ella introduces him to other pups on their big walks and adventures. Not to mention, she is utterly lovely—super gentle, kind and reliable, and she 'gets' dogs in a way few do. Highly recommended!
